Notification of Change in Reward Card T&Cs – effective November 2017


With effect from November 2017 the following change is being made to our Terms & Conditions


-          The maximum liability for a lost or stolen card that you will be responsible for has reduced from £50 to £35.



Terms and Conditions of Use of the Corporate Reward Card

This document is important. It governs your use of the Card. You must not use the Card in a way that breaks this Agreement.

The Corporate Reward Card is available in sterling (£) only.  The Card is not a credit card or a charge card; nor is it a debit card linked to a current account. It is a prepaid card which means that money must be loaded onto the Card. The Card may be loaded with money repeatedly through loads made direct to Gift Voucher Shop (GVS) by the corporate body or other organisation registered with GVS as the Programme Partner. The funds lodged to the account can only be used to pay for purchases at Participating Retailers. The Card is issued by GVS Prepaid subject to these terms and conditions.


Limits apply to the Card:


The Card is able to hold up to £10,000 once CDD is completed. 


CDD is completed automatically upon registering and activating your card and therefore it is important to complete the required fields as accurately and as fully as possible.  If CDD, upon card activation, is not successful you will be notified on what you need to do to complete the CDD process.


If CDD is not completed upon activating your Card, the maximum balance and monthly payment transactions will be £200. Should you reach this limit before CDD is completed, the Card will be blocked from future spending until CDD is completed.  


Interest will not be payable in respect of Card balances.  

Certain fees and charges apply to the Card; see Section 5 of these terms and conditions.




“Agreement” means the Agreement between you, us and Gift Voucher Shop, which includes these terms and conditions, and the Corporate Reward Card application. The Gift Voucher Shop is the operator of the Card.


“Business Day” means any day from Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays (English bank holidays to apply in England and Wales; Scottish bank holidays to apply in Scotland; Northern Irish bank holidays to apply in Northern Ireland).


“Card” means the Corporate Reward Card, a prepaid card denominated in sterling, or any replacement card which we issue to you from time to time.


“Card Purchase” means any transaction whereby the Card is used to pay for goods and/or services at Participating Retailers.


“Customer Due Diligence” or “CDD” means identifying you via electronic methods or by personal documentation supplied by you to us to confirm your name and current address.

“Gift Voucher Shop” or “GVS” means Gift Voucher Shop Limited, a company having its registered office at 4 The Merlin Centre, Acrewood Way, St Albans, Hertfordshire AL4 0JY.


“Reward Card Account” means the e-money account linked to a Reward Card registered against individual Card Recipients. 


“Participating Retailer” means a supplier of goods and/or services in the UK which has agreed to accept the Card as payment for goods and/or services.  A list of participating retailers can be found on the One4all website.

“Programme Partner” means the corporate body or organisation that has registered with Gift Voucher Shop as such and who is authorised to provide funds to load to Cards within the specific Corporate Rewards Card programme.


“UK” means the United Kingdom and comprising for the avoidance of doubt England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.


“We” (or “we”) and “us” and “GVS Prepaid” means GVS Prepaid Limited whose registered office is at 4 The Merlin Centre, Acrewood Way, St Albans, AL4 0JYand any business or other person to whom any or all of our rights and responsibilities under this Agreement may be transferred or delegated.


“You” (or “you”) and “Your” (or “your”) means the person who has been provided with the Card at the request of the Programme Partner and is entitled to use the Card to pay for goods and services at a Participating Retailer.


“Website” means the One4all Reward Card website www.one4allrewards.co.uk

2.1 The use of the Card is subject to the terms of this Agreement as may be varied by us from time to time. The current version of the terms and conditions is available on the Website. Purchase and Usage of the Card constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions.


2.2 The Card will be issued in your name although your name may not be printed on the Card plastic.  We will assume, unless and until you tell us to the contrary, in accordance with Clause 4.7 any use of the Card is carried out by you.


2.3 The Card will be issued to you at the request of the Programme Partner.  You must complete an activation process by logging on to the Website and following the detailed registration steps.

2.4 The Card will normally be available for use within two Business Days from the date of initial load.  The Card may not be used in the intervening period.

2.5 Please record your Card number. It will be needed to redeem your Card balance or if your Card is lost or stolen (see Sections 9 and 10 of these terms and conditions).

2.6 You may use the Card, in accordance with any instructions issued by us from time to time while there are sufficient funds on the Card to meet purchase commitments.


2.7 You can at any time redeem the balance in whole or in part on the Card.  To do so you must contact the Programme Partner and notify them of your intentions.  The Programme Partner will contact GVS and advise them accordingly.  Once GVS has been contacted by the Programme Partner and requested to redeem your balance we will process the redemption in accordance with section 9.


2.8 The Card belongs to us.  It must be returned to us (cut in half vertically) immediately upon request.  We or any person acting on our behalf (including Gift Voucher Shop) may retain the Card at any time without notice to you.


2.9.      Funds Protection

2.9.1    The Corporate Reward Card is an electronic money product and is issued by GVS Prepaid.  GVS Prepaid keeps all money exchanged for the Corporate Reward Card in a bank account which is separate and segregated from the assets of GVS Prepaid. This means, in the unlikely event of GVS Prepaid becoming insolvent your money is protected and will be available for return to card holders.


2.9.2    The Financial Services Compensation Scheme does not cover claims made in connection with the issuing of electronic money.


3.1 You must:

-          sign the Card immediately on receiving it;

-          treat the Card as if it were cash;

-          complete the registration and activation process on the Website;

-          keep your transaction receipts and confirmations safe and dispose of them carefully;

-          take all reasonable care and precaution in the custody of the Card and ensure that the Card is not lost, mislaid or stolen; and

-     never give your Card to anyone else or allow anyone else to use your Card.

3.2 We recommend that you protect your card from scratches and exposure to magnets which may damage the card.



4.1 The Card may only be used in Participating Retailers’ outlets.  The up to date list of Participating Retailers is available online on the Website; the list of Participating Retailers may change from time to time.


4.2. You shall be responsible for ensuring the correctness and accuracy of all purchases made with the Card.


4.3 We will immediately debit the amount of all Card Purchases from the balance of your Card.  If you attempt to spend more than the Card balance using only the card, your transaction will be declined.


You can use the Card as part payment.

4.4 You must not use the Card:

(a)   after any notification of its withdrawal is given to you;

(b)   after this Agreement has been terminated; or

(c)   as payment for any illegal purchase.

4.5 You cannot stop a Card Purchase after it has been authorised.  To authorise a purchase you may be required to sign a receipt for each Card Purchase; the amount of the Card Purchase must be confirmed with the Participating Retailer at the time of authorisation.


4.6 We will not issue Card statements.  You can obtain your Card balance or obtain information about previous Card Purchases by logging onto the Website or calling  our Automated card balance line on0330 828 0881.  You are responsible for monitoring your Card balance and for ensuring that there are sufficient funds on the Card at all times to pay for Card Purchases. The up to date Card balance and any recent Card transactions will be available to view the same day.  You can print out the transaction history for your records.


4.7       Your Reward Card Account does not expire.  However the physical plastic card will need replacing from time to time. 




4.7.1      A ‘Valid Thru’ date is printed on the front of your card.  This is used as the expiry date when shopping online and when your card needs replacing.  If you have funds on the card at this valid thru date, and have not received a new card you should contact us and we will issue a new card to you. 


4.7.2      GVS will block funds on your old card before a replacement card is issued to you. You will need to activate your new card via the Website.  Details of how to do this will be sent to you at the latest email address you have provided us with when the replacement Card is sent to you.  .


4.7.3      We may not issue a new card if the original card has not been activated and/or no money has been loaded to the card. We not issue a new card if there has been no activity on your card for 18 months and the balance on your card is Zero.


4.7.4      GVS Prepaid reserves the right to issue you with a non-reloadable card if you have not activated the card, money has been loaded to the card and you are no longer part of the scheme run by the Programme Partner.


4.8 If at any time you become aware of an unauthorised debit transaction made using your Card you must notify Gift Voucher Shop by calling 0370 0854 141 without undue delay and, in any event, within 13 months of the debit date of the transaction.


4.9 Once you have notified us of an alleged unauthorised or incorrectly executed transaction on your Card, we will promptly investigate your claim. In some cases we may ask you to give us further information about the transaction (for instance, to enable us to confirm that the transaction was properly authenticated). You confirm that you will cooperate with the police or other enforcement bodies if requested to do so.


4.10 Where it is established to our reasonable satisfaction that the transaction was not authorised by you, we will (subject to Clauses 4.10, and 4.12 below) refund the full amount of the transaction to your Corporate Reward Card.


4.11 We reserve the right to refuse a refund under Clause 4.9 where you fail to notify us within 13 months of the date of the debit transaction.


4.12 We reserve the right to debit from your Card the amount of any refunds paid to you where, upon further investigation, it is subsequently established that you are not entitled to a refund. If there is insufficient balance on the Card to debit the amount of any refunds paid to you in circumstances where you are not entitled to a refund, we reserve the right to take all reasonable steps (including legal proceedings) to recover from you the amount of any such refunds together with any fees, charges or expenses that we have incurred.


4.13 We reserve the right to withhold refunds if, and to the extent that, we can show you have failed to comply with any relevant provisions of this Agreement.


4.14 If the amount of a purchase which you wish to make using your Card is greater than the available balance, you can pay the difference in cash or by another payment method.

4.15 Neither GVS Prepaid nor Gift Voucher Shop will be liable for defects in any goods or services paid for using the Card.  Any queries or complaints about such goods or services should be addressed to the relevant Participating Retailer(s).


5.1 The amounts of fees and details of when they will be payable are set out in the table below.   All fees will be debited directly to the Card as they arise.   



Inactive Balance Charge

5.2 A monthly inactive balance charge of £0.90 (or the credit balance on the Card, if lower) will be charged if 18 months elapses since the last load of funds to the Card.  This charge will start to be applied from the following month and will continue until additional funds are loaded onto the card.  A Card account will be closed if a zero balance is reached on it during a period when this charge is being applied.




Redemption Fee

(This applies where you contact the Programme Partner to redeem the Card in accordance with Clause 2.7 and Section 9).

Inactive Balance Charge – monthly amount charged to accounts with balances remaining that have had no loads within an 18 month period

5.3 All fees and charges will be payable to Gift Voucher Shop.    




6.1 We may add to or change these terms and conditions in accordance with clause 6.2. We may add new fees and charges or change existing fees and charges at any time.


6.2 We will tell you in advance if we add to or change these terms and conditions or if we add new fees and charges or change existing ones. The amount and type of notice that we will give you will follow the laws and regulations that apply at that time. (For example, we may notify you by letter, electronic mail, telephone (including recorded message) or by an advertisement in a UK daily or weekly newspaper).  Most changes will occur two months after we tell you about them.


6.3 If we change or add to these terms and conditions and you are not happy to accept the changes, you may end this contract and close your Card account. If you do not ask us to end this Agreement, you are deemed to accept the changes on their effective date.



7.1 Until Customer Due Diligence is completed to our satisfaction, the following limits will apply at the time the Card is first issued and will continue to apply until Customer Due Diligence has been completed:


Maximum Card Balance                                                                    £200;

Maximum spend or load in any calendar month:                               £200.


When either of the above limits is reached, and before Customer Due Diligence has been completed, your Card will be blocked and become unusable.  We will request you to provide sufficient personal documentation to confirm your identity and current address, before further use of your Card will be permitted.


7.2 The maximum Card balance, once Customer Due Diligence has been completed to our satisfaction, will be £10,000.


7.3 If at any time:

(i) you are in breach of any of the terms of this Agreement; or

(ii) we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, theft or dishonesty;
we will be entitled to take such steps as we consider reasonably necessary to restrict your right to use the Card, which, without limitation, shall include, without prior notice to you, refusal to authorise a Card Purchase, suspension, withdrawal or cancellation of your Card.



8.1 The Card can only be used for Card Purchases (i) in Participating Retailer outlets in the UK only or (ii) where available, by telephone or online from those Participating Retailers in the UK listed on the Website. The Card may not be used abroad.

8.2 The Card cannot be used in automated teller machines (“ATMs”) to obtain cash.  

9.1 You may at any time redeem the balance in whole or in part on the Card.  To do so you must contact the Programme Partner and notify them of your intentions.  The Programme Partner will contact GVS and advise them accordingly.  Once GVS has been contacted by the Programme Partner and requested to redeem your balance we will process the redemption in accordance with this section.


9.2 In order to allow any outstanding Card Purchases to clear, Gift Voucher Shop will refund the requested amount to you, by bank transfer to your nominated bank account, minus any fees, within seven Business Days of such a request.  You must not use your Card after you ask us to repay the full balance to you.  The appropriate redemption fee, as set out in Section 5, will apply. 


9.3 If you wish to redeem the balance in whole or in part on the Card, you may be required to submit additional documentation to us for purposes of identification in accordance with our Customer Due Diligence requirements.


9.4 For the avoidance of doubt, redeeming the balance on your Card will not terminate this Agreement. If you wish to terminate this Agreement then Clause 13.5 will apply.


10.1 You should treat the Card as if it were cash.  If the Card is lost, stolen, damaged or fails to operate correctly or if the Card number becomes known to any unauthorised person you must immediately notify Customer Services (details below).   If your notification is made orally it must be confirmed in writing within fourteen days. Once you have notified us you must not use the Card. You will not be liable for any unauthorised use of the Card in circumstances where that unauthorised use takes place after you have notified us.

10.2 Provided that you have not acted fraudulently or without reasonable care you will remain liable for any debit to the Card by the unauthorised use of the lost or stolen Card that takes place prior to notifying us in accordance with Clause 10.1, subject to a limit of £50.  If you have acted fraudulently, or without reasonable care you may be liable for the entire loss.


Subject to your limited liability of £50 any unauthorised transactions will be re-credited to the Card.  You will, however, be fully liable for any use of the Card or Card number by any person who acquired it with your consent, or as a result of your gross negligence.

10.3 Subject to Clause 10.1, if there is a credit balance on the Card at the time when the Card is lost or stolen, we will cancel the Card and Gift Voucher Shop will send a replacement Card (with the appropriate credit loaded on to the replacement Card) to you at the address nominated by you; we cannot issue a replacement Card if you do not tell us the Card number.  To allow for the processing of any pending Card Purchases, we will wait seven Business Days prior to issuing any replacement Card.


 A fee will be payable to Gift Voucher Shop for any replacement Card in accordance with Section 5 above; the amount of this fee will be deducted from the Card balance.


10.4 If you find a Card after having reported it lost or stolen, you must notify Gift Voucher Shop immediately; you must not use the Card.


11.1 It will be necessary in all cases, for a Participating Retailer to obtain authorisation from us or our agents to honour the Card for a particular Card Purchase; this is to ensure that there are sufficient funds on the Card.  We may refuse to authorise a Card Purchase at any time if there are insufficient funds on the Card.

11.2 A Participating Retailer may not be able to obtain authorisation from us in some circumstances (for example, if there is a problem with the phone line between the Participating Retailer’s premises and our authorisation centre).  If this happens neither GVS Prepaid nor GVS will be responsible if you are unable to use the Card for a particular Card Purchase.  Furthermore, neither GVS Prepaid nor GVS will be liable for the refusal of any Participating Retailer to accept or honour the Card for any reason.  


11.3 If a Participating Retailer becomes liable to make a refund to you we will not credit the amount of any refund to the Card; refunds are a matter between you and the relevant Participating Retailer.


12.1 GVS Prepaid will not be liable for any delay or failure in performing any of its obligations in respect of the use of the Card where such delay or failure occurs because of any circumstances beyond GVS Prepaid’s reasonable control.  

12.2 The accounts and records kept by GVS Prepaid or on its behalf shall, in the absence of an obvious error, constitute sufficient evidence of any facts or events relied upon by GVS Prepaid in connection with any Card Purchase or matter or dealing in relation to the Card.      

12.3 GVS Prepaid may disclose details of the Card to GVS and to any person acting as its agent in connection with the use or issue of the Card.

12.4 This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law.

12.5 All communications under this Agreement will be in English.

12.6 GVS Prepaid and/or Gift Voucher Shop may record or monitor phone calls with you for training purposes, to enable instructions to be verified and to assess whether our service standards are being met.  

12.7 GVS Prepaid may transfer to any other person any or all of its rights and/or obligations under this Agreement.  GVS Prepaid may do this without telling you but your legal rights will not be affected and your obligations will not be increased as a result.  You may not transfer your rights and obligations under this Agreement.




13.1 We may terminate this Agreement at any time on giving 60 days’ written notice of termination to you.


13.2 In addition, we may terminate this Agreement at any time if any of the following circumstances occur provided we give you such notice of termination as is required by law:

(i) The Programme Partner advises us of their discontinuation of the Reward Card Scheme;

(ii) The Programme Partner ceases to trade; or

(iii) The Programme Partner advises us that you are no longer participating in the Reward Card Scheme.

(iv) If you have more than one Card through the same Programme Partner.  In this case we may terminate the additional card(s) and, subject to agreement either transfer the funds on to one card or refund the balance to you in accordance with section 9.


13.3 On termination of this Agreement for any reason you must immediately cut the Card in two. 


13.4 Following termination of this Agreement in accordance with clauses 13.1 and 13.2, we will refund the balance of the Card to you, by transferring the balance on to One4all gift card(s) and issuing this/these to you, within seven days of such termination. No redemption fee will apply when we terminate the Agreement in accordance with clauses 13.1 or 13.2.


13.5 You may terminate this Agreement at any time. If you terminate this Agreement in accordance with this clause 13.5 we will refund the Card balance by bank transfer to your nominated bank account.  You may be required to submit additional documentation to us for purposes of identification in accordance with our Customer Due Diligence requirements before the transfer can take place.


13.6 GVS will advise the Programme Partner if you terminate this agreement to prevent any future payments to your account





14.1 Considering your application


The Card is issued by GVS Prepaid and GVS Prepaid is the data controller.  The personal information which you have provided to us may be used in the manner set out in this Section. 


14. 2 Use and disclosure of your information


The personal information which we hold about you may be shared with and cross-checked by other businesses the TSC Group of companies, fraud prevention or credit reference agencies, our suppliers, agents or subcontractors and anyone who introduced you to us:


(i)            to verify your identity and/or address;

(ii)           to trace debtors, recover debt, to prevent fraud and money laundering;

(iii)          to manage and administer your Card; and

(iv)         to carry out statistical analysis and market research.


This information will also be shared with Gift Voucher Shop Limited so that they may carry out statistical research and analysis, compliance and regulatory reporting and administration in respect of the Card in accordance with the above.


The Customer grants the Gift Voucher Shop and relevant third parties a perpetual, royalty free right to keep a record of the information referred to above.


If you want to receive details of those fraud prevention agencies from whom we obtain, and with whom we may record, information about you, please write to us at the address shown in Clause 14.4 below. You have a legal right to these details.


14.3 Transfer of your information abroad


From time to time, we may disclose or transfer information about you to previously approved persons or companies who are based outside of the European Economic Area. We will only do so provided such persons or companies agree to give your information the same level of protection as we are required to give it in the UK and act solely on our instructions. Such transfers abroad will be for the purpose of managing and administering your Card.


14.4 Your right to information


You have a legal right to receive a copy of the information we hold about you by applying in writing to us at:

14.5 Keeping Your Information Up to Date


You are responsible for keeping your personal information up to date at all times.  Should you leave the employment of the Programme Partner, you should update your personal details including your email address via the Website. 


14.5.1 GVS will make reasonable attempts to contact you using the personal information you have supplied to us.  Where we believe the personal information is out of date, of insufficient quality to be certain that we can make contact with you or we have had items returned to us, GVS will hold back from making any further attempts to contact you.


14.5.2 In the event of information being returned due to inaccurate personal information, GVS will await contact from you before making any further contact attempts.  GVS May request additional information from you to confirm your current details, including address verification.


14.5.3 If we believe the personal information you have provided to us is out of date or inaccurate, we reserve the right to suspend your Card from further use.  GVS will not be responsible for any loss or damages incurred by you as a result of any failure by you to update your contact and address details

They will be pleased to help and explain the complaints procedure in more detail.  A copy of the Complaints Procedure is available upon request.  GVS Prepaid and Gift Voucher Shop will try and resolve your complaint as soon as possible.  Often however, the complaint will need to be investigated.  If this is the case, Gift Voucher Shop will write to you within 5 Business Days to acknowledge receipt of your complaint and tell you how long it might be before your complaint is resolved.  If your complaint cannot be resolved, you may refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service (the “FOS”).
